When booking a wedding photo shoot, you as a customer agree to the general terms and conditions as described below.

1. Wedding Photography Contract

After approval of the quotation, you will receive the 'Wedding Photography Contract' in which all (price) agreements made are included. This must be signed and returned to The Wedding Framers immediately. Signing the 'Wedding Photography Contract' establishes the agreement between the customer and The Wedding Framers.

2. Payments

The wedding date will be definitively put in the agenda after a deposit of 50% has been credited to the account of The Wedding Framers. This deposit is settled on the final invoice.

The Wedding Framers would like to receive the remaining amount by bank transfer, at the latest 1 day before the wedding date, for which the customer will receive an invoice in good time.

The photos will only be sent when the full payment has been credited to the bank account of The Wedding Framers.

3. Cancel

Cancellation costs will be charged. The amount depends on the time of cancellation:

In case of cancellation after signing the 'Wedding Photography Contract', the amount of the deposit will not be refunded.

In case of cancellation within 6 months before the wedding date, 30% of the total amount must be paid to The Wedding Framers

In case of cancellation within 3 months before the wedding date, 50% of the total amount must be paid to The Wedding Framers.

In case of cancellation within 6 weeks or less of the wedding day, the full amount of the wedding photography must be paid to The Wedding Framers.

4. Unforeseen Circumstances and Liability

In the event of serious unforeseen circumstances, such as illness, death of a family member, etc., which makes it really impossible for The Wedding Framers to record your wedding, The Wedding Framers will, if necessary, provide an equivalent replacement photographer/videographer. In the event that the customer prefers to arrange this himself, the amount of the deposit will be returned to the bridal couple.

In the unlikely event of a total failure, photographic or cancellation, of this contract by either party, the liability of one party to the other is limited to the total value of the costs included in the 'Wedding Photography Contract'. Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential damages.

5. Delivery photos and video

The Wedding Framers make a careful selection from the photos taken and deliver no less than the minimum number of agreed photos, depending on the agreements made. Photos that do not pass the selection of The Wedding Framers will not be delivered to the bridal couple.

Carefully edited photos in color and a wide selection in black and white, are delivered in the highest resolution (300dpi) in .jpg file.

Raw photos or photos in an extension other than .jpg will not be delivered. The raw video images that do not appear in the video will not be delivered to the bridal couple.

6. Printing and Photo Products

By supplying the digital files, The Wedding Framers hand over the printing to the customer. The Wedding Framers advise the customer NOT to do this at a Hema, Kruitvat or the like, because the quality is of such a nature that this does not benefit the photos.

The Wedding Framers advise the customer to have photo prints or photo products professionally printed.

The Wedding Framers are not responsible and cannot be held liable for the quality of photo prints or photo products, which are made by the customer or third parties at other companies.

7. Indemnification

The Wedding Framers can never be held liable for costs, damages, claims and legal costs with regard to third party copyright, trademarks, designs or other intellectual property rights. The Wedding Framers is only responsible for obtaining such exemptions if expressly agreed well before the day of the wedding. In all other cases, the customer is responsible for obtaining such approvals and will indemnify The Wedding Framers against all costs, damages, claims and legal costs arising therefrom.

8. Image size, color, style, composition

All image sizes are approximate. The Wedding Framers carefully review and correct all photos for color and contrast. It is sometimes not always possible to capture the exact color as seen by the human eye. The bridal couple has no right to refuse photos based on style or composition.

9. Copyright

The copyright of the photos and/or digital files remains with The Wedding Framers (Dieuwertje van der Stoep & Mark van Helden) at all times.

The digital files and photos are only intended for private use, unless it has been clearly agreed in writing prior to use, please note the Copyright Act, you buy the files and not the rights.

If you choose to post photos or (parts of the) video on social media (without The Wedding Framers logo), the name of The Wedding Framers, Mark van Helden or Dieuwertje van der Stoep, must be clearly stated, or a reference to www.theweddingframers.com must be included in the publication, unless otherwise agreed as in the case of Social Media Profile Photo shoots.

By signing the 'wedding photography contract', you also give permission to use the photos taken for the website, social media, promotional material, etc. No compensation or discount will be given for this. If the bridal couple does not want the photos taken to be used on the above media, you must inform The Wedding Framers beforehand by email.

When purchasing photos and/or digital files (high resolution), the bridal couple has the right to reproduce for their own use. It is not allowed to use photos and/or digital files for commercial purposes or competitions.

It is not permitted to post supplied photos and/or digital files in a different (color) processing than supplied, on social media (Facebook, Flickr, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.) or other websites.

10. Privacy & Personal Data

The Wedding Framers will never disclose or pass on the personal data, as known to us, to third parties. See the privacy statement.

11. Changes to General Terms and Conditions The Wedding Framers

The Wedding Framers may change or supplement these terms and conditions at any time. If applicable, changes will be announced in a timely manner and by email.
